The School at Jesseton
Where learning meets real life.
The School at Jesseton offers an alternative approach to education. We are a Christ centered, farm based, microschool. We offer a small, intimate learning community that prioritizes individualized education, and developmentally appropriate curriculum. With a low student-to-teacher ratio, our microschool creates an environment where every child is seen, heard, and supported. We believe that education goes beyond the classroom walls. We embrace the fact that learning is different for each child, and our approach is tailored to nurture each student's unique interests, strengths, and needs.
In our program, students thrive in a close-knit, supportive setting where learning is hands-on, and designed to ignite curiosity. Our state certified teacher implements core academic subjects—such as math, science, language arts, and social studies—with real-world experiences and project-based learning. Students are also responsible for daily tending of the animals on the farm.

Hello! My name is Christa Sandlin. I am the founder of The School at Jesseton’s microschool. With 10 years combined experience teaching in the public school setting, I decided it was time to get back to the basics of education. It is my philosophy that students learn through doing. Therefore, I have built a developmentally appropriate, project based, farm school, where students will learn responsibility and hard work, all while developing core academic skills.
